1st time with rye grain

This is my first time using rye grain in quart jars. It's been six weeks and im still not fully colonized. I've injected 2cc per jar don't know i that was enough or not. I have been keeping the jars around 85 degrees. Should I inject more spores or just wait it out? I've done BRF tek several times and not had this type of problem. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Try to shake your jars, btw, six weeks are a lot, if you're using filters then maybe the grains are a bit dry now.

Six weeks?!?! that SHOULD be 6 days
1. your rye grain may not have the correct moisture content did you make them? how?
2. 85 degree is way too hot, the surrounding temp should not be more then 80 (I was surprised not to see more yellow piss!!!)
3. DO NOT inject any more spores, its a waste
4. where did you get your spores from?
5. what is your FAE setup?
you should probably try to salvage what spawn you have now IMO and try to fruit ASAP maybe you will get lucky

Toss it out and start over. A quart of rye should be fully colonized within two weeks. If not, you have other issues wrong. The pictures are too blurry to tell for sure, but that looks a lot like bacillus. What sort of filter/gas exchange provisions did you take? RR

Next time, follow one of the teks here. I'm sure your mycelium ran out of air. That guy couldn't grow a mushroom if someone gave him a kit. RR
