a q about cyans

final got a c. cyan print and i really want to try it out but i only have one and don't want to screw it up. I'm planning on useing brf/dung/vermiculite as a substrate(PF style). I was planning on making a syringe out of the print and using it to multi spore inoculate. Does this sound like it would work? I've never done agar work before and i know it is done alot with pans. I was also wondering if spawing dung with the jars would be a good idea or not.? Any help would be great. i've grown lots of cubes but never pans:) Thanks

Sounds like a good start! Since you are adding the dung to your substrate, there is no need to spawn with manure. Just apply a thin layer of 50/50 casing with lime and set the cased substrate in the humidity chamber. Once you succeed with this method, then try spawning with manure. I've never had any success spawning with manure, though I become discouraged easily. Keep us updated!!!!

i use dung to spawn all my cubies that why i wondered if it would work for pans. :smile:

I've always had good luck with dung, I haven't had any contams until after the third flush. I don't have any 50/50 will anything else work for a casing layer?

no acually i didn't know that's what 50/50 was because i've never bought it. The stuff i have is called something else, but now i know thanks :P

You don?t buy the 50/50 mix, you make it.
You mix 1 part of peat and 1 part of vermiculite and hat?s it.
If you want to make it perfect, add 10 calcium carbonate or 5% calcium hydrate by volume, then it?s called 50/50+.
