Algae breeding/Super Fertilizer
    #595857 - 04/01/02 08:11 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

So I set up this aquarium outside, and keep a constant water flow on it. I keep perlite on the bottom, the top is vermiculite and topsoil, there are two very small holes in the bottom of the aquarium. I keep a fruit fly population, ants, lots of insects, but more importantly the half foot layer of perlite is completely green. So anyways I take the drainage and water my plants outdoors with it. It seems to be working very well, since the soil outside never grew anything before, and now a bunch of seedlings are growing. So what is it? Oxidized water/ Carbonized water. nitrogenized water. Any suggestions for something similar. Also I am starting my a big trash can of compost. All my messep up cooking goes to the compost. If you open up the lid there are thousands of fruit flys, which Is good I think. but maybe I should keep light on it, or air holes, I don't know what to do, please offer some suggestions.

Just a note about your compost......you say your putting your cooking mess ups in it? Dont put any meat or breads in there...only veggie/fruit scraps, eggshells, leaves, grass clippings, etc.....

Also, why not bread? because of yeast? I put noodles in there, yeast is the only ingredient in bread that is'nt in noodles i think. Some people bake bread with eggs too I think, I don't know, I don't cook bread.
