WBS germination = serious problem?

1)if the WBS germinates and sprouts is it a serious problem?
2)if so what should you do about it?
3)can the seeds germinate after they have been PCed and put into jars/bags?
4)is it worth innoculating germinated jars/bags?
thanks for any help

If more than 5 percent germinated.
I would start over.
Germinated seed releases starchy goo.
Which invites wet spot contamination, slow colonization, and clumping.
Once wbs is sterilized, germination cannot take place.
Wbs is cheap. It's better to do it right, than half right.

cool. i have soaked, rinsed, pressure cooked and sealed the bags. due to my slow LC (prob have to start again) i won't be able to inoculate for a week or so.
do you think that the bags will still be usable after a week (assuming that there are no obvious signs of contamination?
cheers trippin

Spawn should be inoculated immediately after it cools from sterilization. Don't waste your time on LC. Simply use your spores to inoculate the grains. LC has applications if you plan to grow truckloads, but for homegrowers, it's a waste, imo. You only expose yourself double to the chance of contaminants by excessive handling. Much more effective and safe is to learn grain to grain transfers. RR RR

cheers RR
this is my first time with WBS and i've run out of spores . i have some coming from the free spore ring which i will chuck into a few syringes and inoculate with.
i plan on doing G2G when i can (i just gotta get one load of colonised grain first )
but do you think that if there's no sign of contams i would be ok to inoculate a week or so after sterilising the bag?

im on tripps side with the WBS. just dont sweet it, and start over.
Roger. im a big fan of LCs, but then again i like to grow truck loads. grain to grain is about just as usefull, but i dont see how it how it cuts outs the excessive handling. your still inoculating twice.

if u are gonna start ovey why waste all the bags just inoculate anyway and see what happens
people are always like it has to be inoc right away. why the jars take a while to colonize whats the difference
lc is the way to go the jars colonize faster and u can tell if its contamed unlike a spore print. plus it is good for alot of jars from only a small amount of spores
