Does this look like Bacterial Blotch? ...or could it be soft rot??
    #5958152 - 08/13/06 12:35 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Okay, so one of my casings fell ill to cobweb :frown:  I sprayed that sucker with peroxide and upped the FAE - and won the battle....I think.  The problem now is that some of the fruits are growing little nasty patches on the caps, for lack of a better description.  So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this looks like bacterial blotch, or if it looks like soft rot?  I didn't find any pictures of what soft rot looks like, and I'm a newbie (obviously), so I am looking to the pros for advice.  Thanks!

It's where droplets of water or peroxide landed on them when they were smaller. The damage doesn't heal, but grows along with the mushrooom. They'll be fine. If they're firm, you can eat them fresh. If the damaged spot is slimy, dry first or boil into tea.
