I have 2 large straw based grow bags, i incubated one with 3cc of b+ and the other with 3cc of pes hawaiian. well over 2 weeks and nothing! they are in a dark place at 85 degrees. i have no signs of anything at all! i think i forgot to shake the syringes but would that matter for 3cc? what do i do! thanks, Nick

hello gates. im only on my first set of grow bags myself, but i did not use 3cc. i used an entire 1 qt jar of colonized WBS(wild bird seed). my bags are 5 days old and show lots of growth. for my next set of bags i plan to use LC, and as i have been informed by another i need to use at lest 60cc for a large bag, and 120cc is preferred. im just guessing that your using spores, right?? take your spores or LC or what ever your using, and look into making liquid cultures( LCs) then either make some grain jars, or use straight LC in your bags. also i think that i have heard that it is not easy to get spores to germenate on straw. i might be wrong on that one. dont through out your bags. either reinoculate them latter with the same strain, or just set them aside. they still might grow.

with LC you can get success with small amounts but since its so easy to make you can always add more to get quicker colonisation times.
if you do use 120cc then be careful about standing water in the bag. i personally add 30% vermiculite to soak up LC and to stop standing water.
