Help! 9 days and nothing.
    #5957483 - 08/12/06 08:01 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Hey my cakes have been in my FC for 9 days today and still no signs of primorda.

All that I have noticed is that the myc has grown a bit fluffier on the sides on most of the cakes.

They are B+ and had been incubating for 3 weeks.

Should I be concerned by now?

Do they look dry or blue? I'ld wait a few more days, then dunk for 24hrs.

They did look kinda dehydrated when they were birthed, I dunked for 18 hours though.

EDIT: I'll get some pics up later.

could be low moisture content of the cakes.

i would say lower the temperature of your fruiting chamber (maybe move it to a colder room for a little while).

also make sure the humidity in your fruiting chamber is 95-100%

Before you lower your temperature, what temp are you at???

If your in the mid 70's your right where you should be. No one is going to be able to tell you the moisture content of your cakes with the pictures you provided. As was said before, you might have a strain that's a little pokey at fruiting. Give it more time.

Also I wouldn't dunk them again, that could cause your cake to stall even longer.
