Aquarium PH Adjusters Question?

Just wondering if you can use those aquarium PH adjusters that you get at wally world to adjust the ph in the water you use for cakes/casings etc. ? Any feedback will help! Thanks in advance!

ph buffer wich is really only baking soda is better than ph up

Not quite. Calcium carbonate or even hydrated lime are a far cry from baking soda, which is a salt.
Your water doesn't need adjusting, but the peat in your casing layer does. Just get the proper lime. RR

sodium bicarbonate is a far cry from calcium hydroxide one hardens water one buffers ph lime is a better choice but i wasn't recomending any of it i don't use any off it and have great sucess but as an expirament buffer will be better in a casing than a ph adjuster because the ph starts dropping only the buffer will help lime is also nasty stuff to keep around the house
