Here is a movie focusing on the history of acid and it's spiritual aspect. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5904240612788659431
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

just after 35 minutes, simon posford samples that man's little talk in the song lsd
Haven't seen the video yet. Hallucinogen - LSD is one of my favourite songs. Hadn't heard the CD in a few months and I almost cried, couldn't believe how something that beautiful had ever been composed/constructed.

Are you sure that sample is in the Hallucinogen song?
I thought it was in Paul Oakenfold's cover of Hallucinogen song LSD.
I have both songs and just listened to them though.

It's in the hallucinogen version (haven't heard the Oak version).
Also at the end there's Dr. Cohen that talks about Unsanity. That sample is used at the "Hallucinogen in Dub by Ott" record and also the sample with little kids talking bout a religious expereience is used at the same song.

It seemed pretty biased from my perspective. Perhaps the most poignant comment was at the very end by Hofmann when he confessed that LSD showed him that there were other worlds besides the physical. I loved seeing Kesey and I didn't know that Laura Huxley injected Aldous twice with 100 mcg LSD. But the stick-up-the-ass Brit scholar and Lord, the US politicians ("LSD NOT LBJ") the reminder of the work by R.C. Zaehner who denies that the Psychedelic Experience constitutes genuine religious experience, all annoyed me, but thanks for making it available. It was pretty damning of the people behind LSD (except for scientist Hofmann) - giving 9 year olds acid at Millbrook was NOT a good idea - no wonder Leary was so villified. Anyway, a good slice of history's anti-LSD propaganda to shake my head about.

My posting the link was not an implied agreement with it's premise. I actually feel that all those scientist guys wanted to keep it in the establishment as a tool only for the elite. They disdained Leary because he released it into the wild....but if it had not been I would never have discovered it. I just posted it for the historical value. Many of these young acid freaks need to understand their roots.

That's fine, I wasn't being critical with you. The first film I ever saw was called 'LSD: Insight or Insanity" while in high school and it was the biggest advertisement for me that I'd seen!

biased? how was it biased? they were just giving different opinions, they didn't really endorse any particular point of view. i personally enjoyed what everyone had to say, although it was obvious the politicians had never had a psychedelic experience.
