Cobb vrs. Mycelium what to do?

I have been looking into the "One Day Colonization" thread and I figured I would take some pics of a couple of my jars to try and get a better understanding of this kind of contam and how it seems to drive folks such as myself insane.. OK here we go.I have 6 jars 3 Cambodian and 3 Malabar. I inoculated the jars on Saturday 8-6.. In two days I could see the growth in the form of the liquid lines at the inoculation points. At first I was all stoked as I felt I had the fastest growing jars on the planet. It was only a day or so later that I came to the conclusion that I had Cobb.. But as soon as I saw the Cobb start to take over I noticed that I had some strong Mycelium growing hand in hand with the Cobb. Here are some pics taken today so you can get a better feel for what I'm saying.

I was about to dump the jars in a hole in that yard but a buddy told me to hang on a bit. The Mycelium growth is staggering and it seems to be taking over the Cobb.. What should I do folks?

I don't see any Cob Web mold, only rhizomorphic mycellium.

The Cobb is there but the Mic. has started to over run it...and over run it hard! These jars were knocked up one week ago...

You can try cutting your losses and see if you can fruit them outdoors where the contamination is less likely to effect it or you can do what ever you need to do.

Umm, is the Cob Web actually visible in those photos?? If so, can you point them out(you know, like i do with my crappy paint pics)?
Here are some photos I jacked from RogerRabbit and CreamCorn, good examples of mycellium growth vs. Cob Web:
*this photo is from Monstermitch, the jar is fully colonized, and the Cob Web has colonized the top of the jar. It looks like WBS*
 * This is a Petri dish of Cob Web mold that RogerRabbit grew, good for ID purposes- note the gray tone as compared to the snow white colour of mycellium. It's also more fluffy/stringy and less dense.*
 * Another of RogerRabbit's petri growths, healthy rhizomorphic growth*

Here ya go Cat...
OK the reason I tend to lean towards Cobb is.. The Grey/White tone.. The moisture deposited on the inside of the jar.. The light fluffiness to its growth..
The person that sent me the prints told me that something looked off as far as the growth. This is my second grow from BRF and I'm in no way totally tuned in on Cobb. I did have 7 jars last month of Cracked Corn that went totally Cobb over night so I guess thats why I'm so paranoid.. Another reason I'm stressing is for the fact that these jars are only a week into grow and the person that sent the spoor said there is no way they can grow this fast when the least time to germinate is 14 days if not more.. And I totally think this guy knows his shit.. I did use one spoor print per 3 jars...
The photo shows grey fluffy growth on the bottom and the brighter white Myc. on the top.. Heck I dunno It may be all Myc..
Or just a matter of my craZyNeSS

Hmmm could be, but it is still difficult to tell from the pic. I'm not sure the name of this non-rhizomorphic mycellium, but in my jars, there is usually a few different strains at each inncoulation point, some are thin and fluffy.
I have a drop of moisture in one of my cakes, it is fairly normal. I think the growth you are showing simply appears white/gray because the growth is still thin and the substrate underneath makes it look darker than it is. For instance, take a thin sheet of paper or rice paper, put on sheet on a dark surface, and one sheet on a light surface, the paper on the dark surface will appear darker.
I agree, one week is an incredible pace!!! But you say ne print among 3 jars?? The spore solution musta been purple, huh?
With that many spores, I can see how the growth may have taken off so quickly. I have 2 strains going now- one from Mexico, and one from Canada. The one from Canada showed growth about 36hrs after inoculation. The Mexican strain took 2 weeks till I saw pin pricks of mycellium!
Just don't toss em, i think it is probably fine.
If you develop a moderate cob web problem at the fruiting stage, once the cakes have been birthed, you can spray a solution of peroxide/water (1part/10parts) onto the affected areas with a spray bottle- if it is cob web, it will shrivel up from the solution. That usually takes care of that.

that jar is my pic, not creamcorn's.
but whatever.

yeah come on i NEVER get contaminations to have pictures of them to display (/sarcasm)
but yeah... to the original poster, I see nothing but healthy mycelium. When growth takes off that fast, it can be mistaken for cobweb at the beginning - because of the reason CureCat just explained... its simply thinner against a dark background, so it looks greyish and whispy. I don't think your mycelium over-ran the cobweb, there was probably no cobweb in the first place.
