Mushroom tea question.

Hey guy and gals, I was wandering how long I could expect shroom tea to stay good like sealed in a jar and kept cool. Would the alkaloids remain in suspention with no loss of potency? Or does it begin to break down quickly?
Please no post telling me that making tea degrates the psilocybin because I make tea all the time with great success. We just drink it right away and have never tried to preserve the tea for long.

Making a tea Freezing the juice and thawing it when you want to drink it should keep it active longer but I don't know for how long. maybe years but it could taste bad after that long "Psilocybin" is very stable, once the "psilocin" has broken down a little after time just up the dose.
P.S. do you have a food drier?

This stuff will keep a while in a Non transparent container, and if kept in the fridge and handled with extreme care.
If you shake the stuff, air is introduced into the liquid and seems to degrade the quality dramatically.
The darker blue your final product is, the weaker it seems to be.

UnderNose, I was about to buy one. It was about 50 EUR. Not bad? I think it was sold last year by name "Mushroom dryer".
Is it worth it? I might dry my amanitas there. Although I would manage without it, but it might ease up things?

for Amanita just use an oven to obtain optimum heat (most food dehydrators only get into the 100's, below the ~300 degrees needed to dry Amanita with increased potency). for other shrooms they work great. For the tea, if you follow all the suggested ideas above, your shrooms will last for a long time (I don't know exactly how long, but probably over a year if frozen). Another good idea for preservation is to dry your shrooms in a food dehydrator and drop them in a jar of honey (stored in a cool, dark place, of course). With the honey method, your shrooms will last for over 100 years, will taste better, and will transfer some of their psiliness to the honey, which will give you psily-honey after a few years of putting shrooms in, taking them out, replacing the honey that came out with the shrooms, and putting new shrooms in.

Dry shrooms, and I mean ABSOLUTLEY cracker dry, powdered and the powder then packed down into an air tight container and kept in a cool, dark place will keep them good for years.
Then when you want to make your tea, just spoon out a couple of teaspoons of this into your cup and brew as usual.
I personally am not a massive fan of the honey method, although I did only do it with fresh shrooms and not dried ones...

Same as with the fresh shrooms - but break them up a little first.

Or better yet, grind them up with a food processor, or better, coffee grinder.

Coffee filter for instance. You can also drink/eat the soaked powder along the fluid.
