possible mushroom poisoning

not sure if this is the right forum to post this in. let me know.
yesterday a new aquaintance surprised me with an invitation to eat what he called 'golden teachers' though he might've mean 'golden caps.
he hand-picked them from a local farm as he has been in the habit of doing for some time now.
by the way this is southwestern florida.
so we ate them fresh fro ma baggie he brought. the gills were covered in spores of a brownish purple.
i had such an intense trip at the beach that i awoke on my knees in the water after experiencing what seemd like an communion with nature ancestors and my DNA-CNS matrix. ahahaha
so i awoke and noticed that daylight was gone and the tide had returned. and my aquaintance was gone. why would he leave me there i wondered? i still haven't received a response from an email i sent him about it which i know he read.
but anyway, i was worried that he might've mixed the right kind of shroom with the wrong kind and that i may be experiencing the delayed effects of mushroom poisoning. this may be paranoia since wild shrrom picking fro mfarms seems to be a frequent occurence around these parts and deaths are relatively rare.
does anyone know wha tsort of deadly mushrooms with time-delayed symptoms of toxicity may be common in these areas?
any info will be appreciated of course. thank you

If the mushrooms were picked directly out of cow poo, then it is highly unlikely that you ate anything deadly, or even poisonous (the chances are even lower if your friend knew what he was doing). Secondly, fatally poisonous mushrooms do have short term effects, which include severe vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea (check for blood and mucus in the bodily fluids as a positive sign of amatoxin poisoning). If you did experience any of the above symptoms (light vomiting is not uncommon for people who eat psilocybin mushrooms. Amatoxin poisoning should produce high velocity projectile vomit), then get to a hospital IMMEDIATELY and tell the Doctor that you suspect you have eaten poisonous mushrooms. If you do end up becoming a patient, you should sign up for a liver transplant ASAP. Good Luck.
