If there is intelligent life somewhere else in this universe, think of how strange and akward looking those beings might be, with a culture so foreign to us we wouldnt understand it if we tried. Sex might mean puking down eachothers throats.
Imagine now for a moment that they would find us equally as strange.
Forget everyting you've ever seen, heard, smelled, felt.. and view the world as a newborn would, but with an adult brain...
It's called derealization and depersonalization..... its like the opposite of deja vu.. where you become alienated from the world you've gotten so used to.. it only lasts a few seconds..
Anybody else have this experience
btw our voices are wierd..

I've thought this too. (About voices being weird). There are so many of them, all different. Accents, and stuff. I hear dogs bark and they all sound the same! Language is weird stuff, really.
I have thought about how cool it would be to grow up in some alien society, then I realized that it wouldn't really make a difference because Earth is an alien society to someone out there. Earth is already weird enough!

Yep. Communication even through our own race is pretty difficult, let alone all the other creatures here. Imagine how hard beings from another planet would be to understand. Maybe earth is a compilation of many alien races(all creatures and races) on a single planet, like that southpark episode

Like looking at a tree and thinking:
"Wow it comes out of the ground! Weird!"
Perhaps?

I was watching a documentary and some scientist were expressing the idea that if alien life exists and it is carbon based (like on earth) then it will probably have many similarities with what we know on earth. Obviously not human but definetly it would have characteristics that we already witness in nature.
This is just a speculation, it kind of messes up the fantasy though!

What's even weirder to me is to think that aliens could be something plenty beyond what we consider the "physical." Think about angel/demon mythology - something similar to that.
An invisible world where creatures exist, where we are essentially the consequence of their interactions. Maybe we are the angels and demons of some other universe, haha.
