Into The Moat-tech metal, high and low vocals, chugs(can get repetitive),solid breakdowns that are never cheesy.
Between The Buried And Me- influenced by everything from death metal to Counting Crows. I fell in love with these guys. Heavy but not too brutal, they never fail at being melodic and dreamy. Metal bands can't really do soft but BTBAM are very good musicians period.
Prayer For Cleansing- THE band. My favorite and I never get tired of listening to them. The vocals and guitar work are pure genius. This band was made up of members that went on to create BTBAM. The vocals are clean but not clean like Killswitch. (clean vocals are a term in metal which translates to "you can understand the lyrics at times). I am not a fan of clean vocals because I think its cheesy. A lot of chug riffs on Prayer's only full CD. I love this band and could go on all day but I wont.
Ed Gein-fast, spastic, straight edge grindcore. Very good I enjoy them even if they are dick heads in real life. I do not condone the XXX lifestyle but don't bitch at the crowd for more than half of them drinking beer at the show.
Through The Eyes Of The Dead- nice breakdowns that get the kids dancing, chugs chugs chugs and the vocals are deep. Not clean at all.
Despised Icon- two singers and this band is from Canada. One guy does the growls and the other does the shouting and screams. Tech metal with a very large dose of brutal death metal. I like them if you couldn't tell.
(Old) Underoath- Cries Of The Past, Act Of Depression are the only good CDs they made. Emo fags took over the band's name and turned them into garbage. Only one old member is still with the band. I bet you couldn't tell these guys are Christians. They make great Black Metal that sounds very Satanic.
These are just a few off the top of my head. Keep in mind these bands are highly different than Killswitch, but wayyyy better IMO.
