you are a given a choice. 5 million dollars tax free or true love. if you choose the money you will never find true romantic love, if you choose love you will never be wealthy or even well off. oh yeah and if u think u already have true love u have to give it up for the $$
id go with the cash, just cause im not sure true love exists between relationship partners ever.

i actually thought about this and picked the love.
ive experienced wealth, and its great, but no matter what its missing something. plus if i had true love and knew id never have any dough, id at least know i could attempt my dream of living in nature with nothing. just living life.

yeah your true love could gain 50lbs , become a size 14,.. and who wants to mount a pig for the rest of ur life? with the money you could by a house, a lamborghini and fuck models for the rest of your life. if you live somewhere where the cost of living is low you could be a king with 5 mil.
thats sexier than true love :-P

5 million dollars tax free. I'd give it all to my daughter. I'd give up the possibility of finding "true romantic love" for her.

If true love doesnt exist then it would not be on option on your poll. To make this poll with the option of true love then you are implying that true love exists, atleast for those who would be given such a choice.

I think this poll is flawed, because as you pointed out "true love" is a very subjective thing...and may not even exist at all! Money, on the other hand, is cold hard and real.
It should have been "would you rather have money...or love" with no talk of "true" love.
Say you could have more money than you could EVER use...but that you would never love anyone or have anyone love you (again, no talk of "true" love...just LOVE!). Or would you rather have lots of people love you, and give lots of love in return...but have no money at all?

Oh, I've done the whole "true love" thing and that was awesome, at least for a few years. Of course even that didn't last and now we fight all the time... On the other hand, I've never been a multi-millionare. I'm sure I would have a blast and money will always love me back...

True Romantic love is short lived and can be replaced over and over again.
I will take the money invest become super rich like donald trump and then bang all the bitches in the world.
I make me happy. Im sure somewhere along the line I will find a woman that I would like to hang around more than the others.
First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the bitches

I would rather be penniless and in love than rich and without it.
Money does not buy happiness.
A recent study of lottery winners and paraplegics showed that after the initial blow to the system of either gaining money or losing a limb within 6 months both groups of people had settled back into their old personas.
If they were happy, decent people they were still happy decent people, if they were miserable assholes, they were still miserable assholes and so on and so forth.
Money doesn't change you for the better - but love can.

No amount of money and nothing money could buy would ever make me as happy as i've felt being in love. and if i could have that love for the rest of my life NOTHING could replace that. Money comes and goes, it never stays, you can lose that money in heart beat. love is lasting.

with that 5mil. i could buy all the happiness that matters to me..
a quite place in the woods,a big garage,a well equipped wood and metal shop.
a cheap bike to build,a cheap car to build into super car-like performance, all the old Detroit iron i have/haven't owned and wanted to own and have the means to build them the way I wouls want to...
no grand spending spree,no lavished life.just a comfortable, quiet existence away from the world to toil with what matters to me..
I've had all the love i need, and could care less if it ever came again.

I'd go love, who cares how rich you are when all day long you're lonely enough to wish you'd be hit by a falling satellite.
*edit* 5 million is, after all, only 5 million. I could spend it all in a day if I wanted to really go shopping. :P (I'll take this car, uh, this house, uh, this land, Uhm, clothes, foods, drugs.... there goes it all).

I think KOTT stipulated that the true love would last forever.
Now, if I had a choice between 5 million and a fleeting romance...I'd probably take the 5 million.

I'm gonna go with the love also. The reason why is that when you break it down all you need in life is happiness and health. That's paraphrased from a song by the Wallflowers. Money is just a means to an end not of much value in itself, I personally prefer love.
