RICE CAKES ANYONE?

I just created an account with shroomery.org. I have never seen so many people in on cultivation before. I have been cultivating for almost 10 years now. Anyways to make things shorter I wanted to fill people in on my method which is the same as many others out there. But sterile environment is a little different.
Things needed: 1. Brown Rice Flour (buy brown long grain rice and blend it in a blender until its in powder form) $2 - $3
2. 2 dozen 1/2 pint canning jars (wide mouth) $14 - $20
3. Vermiculite (fine grade is what I use) $2 - $4 a bag
4. Distilled Water ???$$$$???
5. 30 Gallon Sterilite Tote w/ Lid $8 - $12 depending on where you buy it
6. 5 Sterilite Small Shoe Box Shaped Totes w/ Lids $2 - $3 each
7. 150 watt fish tank heater Got mine for $14 and some change
8. Thermometer $5 - $10
9. Humidity Gauge $5 - $10
10. Large Pot w/ Lid $12 - $14
11. Spore Sheets or Syringes price depends on many things
12. 1 Med size Tote $4 - $6
13. Enriched Potting Soil
14. Rubbing Alcohol
15. Hammer & Nail
16. Roll of Paper Towels
17. Roll of Scotch Tape
Well i think that is everything I use.
(PICTURES WILL FOLLOW OF WHAT I HAVE IN THE WORKS RIGHT NOW. I AM NEW TO THIS SITE SO I DON'T HAVE MANY PICS BUT WILL BE ADDING MANY SOON)
This is how I do it.
I start by cleaning an area in my kitchen. (kitchen table) I use rubbing alcohol for this. I then make sure doors are closed, fans are off and the A/C is not running. I spray the air with clorox anywhere. I usually wait about 10 mins for it all to settle and then I start in on the good stuff. I then take a large mixing bowl and clean it with dish soap and hot water, the hotter the better. I then dry the bowl very well using a paper towel. Next I add my Verm , brown rice flour, and water. (no honey) I usually use a mixture of 3 cups brown rice flour, 9 cups verm, and 4 1/3 cups water. I mix this mixture till there is no dry spots. Mix for a while to make sure that all the verm is at least damp to the touch. I then take my 24 1/2 pint jars and soak them for about 10 mins in hot water with a few squirts of dish soap. After about the 10 mins or so i remove them one by one rinsing well and then drying with paper towels. After I have finished drying all the 1/2 pint jars i add the substrate. i will to the bottom of the lower rim on the 1/2 pint jars. i have the jars that have he 2 piece lids (self sealing lids) I tighten them right down. I then take the 24 sub rate filled jars and put them in a large pot with a lid. I fill the pot so that 3/4 of the jars are covered in water. I then boil for 20 - 25 mins I stay More towards the 25 min side. After the boil I pull the jars out and let sit until cool to the touch. ( many people suggest letting sit for hours at a time. not true) As touch as they are cool to the touch it is time to add the spores the the mix. When i add the spores i use a alcohol soaked paper towel and wipe the lids and the let dry. i use the same paper towel on the nail and let that dry also. After the nail has dried i use the hammer and nail to poke a hole in one side of the jar lid. (about 2cm from the rim) i then wipe my syringe with rubbing alcohol and slide the needle threw the whole that i have created in the lid. i then inject 1/2cc in every jar. i pull the syringe out and cover the whole with the scotch tape. I almost for got when I puncher the lids with the nail I do this very slowly because of the vacuum that the sealed jar have created. i do this with all 24 culture jars. my substrate mix alway fills 24 jars compared the the 12 jars every one talks about. I place the jars in the incubator that i have created and check on then over other day or so. i usually have pretty good luck and i see growth after 3-5 days.
My incubator consists of a 30 gallon sterilite tote, 150 watt fish tank heater and a thermometer / humidity gauge combo. i use my 3" seasoning jars for my pedestals and the medium sized sterilite tote. For the platform I just a plain cookie sheet. Of coarse everything is washed and let dry.
i will have some pictures of this at the bottom of this post. Its easy and cheap and best of all it works.
After the jars are fully covered in white fuzz like growth i then mix a 50/50 mixture of verm and enriched potting soil to cover a the bottom of a 3' x 2' flat planter. i then take 6 cakes and crumble them very gently. they usually fall apart because of the fine verm that I use. This the the second layer of the flat planter. Then i add 1/2" of plain enriched potting soil on top of the crumbled cakes and make sure It is spread evenly. This is then placed in my incubator and the incubator does the rest. i sit and wait for the pinning and then I check on them 2 times a day to make sure everything is gong well. the temp and humidity that i use is 80/80.
I usually get 3-5 flushed out of this.
This is not a TEK this is just how i get mine to grow. I have read many other posts and steps are added that do not need to be added. its all in how you wanna do it.
Oh yeah and outta of my almost 10 years now of cultivating i have only lost a dozen or show subtrate jars doing this. Compared the the 1-2 per dozen many other people lose. I prolly left a few things out seeing as how it is getting later and i have had a long day.
I will add some pics now of what I got going on at the moment. I just created this account on Shroomery.org so I don't have as many pics as i would like for you to view. i will add them as I get them. No worries.

I will have a load more pics for everyone to view just at the moment I only have a few until I get some fruiting going on.
i love this place I am a noob to these forums so i wanted to get started.

Welcome!
I used cakes made from just brown rice to extract the goodies from the myc. A 1 pint jar, fully colonized, into a blender and cover with OJ.Blend and choke it down(it's really not that bad ) and enjoy.
oh yeah...1 pint jar is enuf for 2 people.
