howdy; an outdoor patch around here is fruiting one or two little guys almost every day, but veils are tearing away before they are an inch or two high; i am thinking this is not normal? patch appears to be 10x8 inches or so, about 7 inches deep; straw and poo and straw/dirt on top; think it's been there about three weeks. maybe two hours direct light a day, rest is indirect. is the patch just not well enough established, perhaps?
also wondering how common it is for an outdoor patch spawned with cubes to grow other types. i can't imagine these are anything else since the patch appeared only a few weeks ago, but i'll always be paranoid about eating a rogue kamikaze daytripper killer.

i haven't noticed bruising, but from reading around sometimes it seems outdoors don't bruise as easily. it's been pretty sticky around here lately; not florida sticky but downright sticky, occasional late day thunderstorm.
light bulb popped in my head that maybe they just aren't getting enough water often enough; maybe explain the tiny fruits?

My advice is to not listen to this post... at all. Ummm poisonous mushrooms may not always kill you, but they leave extremely unpleasant side effects. Just because they bruise blue and look "right" (whatever that means ) doesnt necassarily make them active. Ask this question the MushHunt forum and leave some pics of the mushroom, its environment, and a sporeprint. Oh and another bit of advice is not to take advice from someone with only 7 posts when your health is at stake.
