i can def help you.. ive actually done a lot of ebay shopping, even a little for cars..
one tip.. esp if your doing all vehicles.. pictures are important.. but theres much more info people wanna know.. the description of the vehicle is key.. including all the features, a carfax report, and everything else mechanical
with the picure.. people are going to want to see all angles.. inside the car, and maybe even an "under the hood" shot.
i hope this helped and if you have any questions.. ask em.

yes, pictures are very important, take a trunk shot out of each one, literally cover all angles. As to avoid suspicion of damage.

With gas prices so high a lot of people are looking for economic cars that are good on gas. Big emphasis on how many mpg the car gets is key. Well if the car is good on gas anyhow.. If it isn't then try not to put any emphasis on how many mpg it gets.

Title: Something catchy, but with the basic info they need Description: Very detailed. All the basic info, plus previous owners, accidents, Carfax, etc. Always include detailed info about how you accept payment and all that jazz. Pics: Make sure you get as many pics as you can. That dent on the hood, the cig burn in the upholstery. The more angles and the more pics the better. You want the person to feel like they just sat inside and walked around the car after looking at the pics.
Doing the actual listing and everything is easy as pie. It gets a bit tedious when you have a bunch of items to list with a lot of info for each. Good luck.

Stay away from eBay! If I'm looking for a car on there I don't want to have to wade through a bunch of bullshit from your damned car dealerships. I'm looking for good deals from private parties /rant
Pictures and a very detailed description. Stay away from too many colors, but don't have just a white background with black writting. Take a look at what other people have, find one you like, then jack that bitch.

make sure to have a reserve price or you could lose a lot of money.

just to let you know cars bought from private parties are 70% more likely to have mechanical defects than those bought from franchise dealerships. franchise means they arent some shitty used car lot , they have a new car brand or brands.

I dunno...take several pics of the outside and the interior. Then give a brief description (how many miles are on it, etc..).
Or go and look on Ebay and rip off other dealership's ideas and layouts for the car auction stuff.

yeah make sure you dont lose money.. that sounds basic but you have to consider.. a) you need a reserve price. b) if your making sure your company is making a profit, you need to gaurentee that it sells .. since it costs money to even list the item, it would be a waste to list it and not have the vehicle sale.

yeah to be honest, e-bay will bring current market value, even if it is marketed poorly.
one of the things that you might be walking into, un-known is the amount of correspondance and time it will take to manage such a campaign. you will recieve many many e-mails and messages about your vehicles for sale, as well as phone calls. this will probably take up about 2 hours of your day, if not more.
also e-bay recently re-structured their fee structure for higher priced items, another thing to note on the bottom line
also as auction have whole day durations, i.e. 5 days 7 days etc, you will want to start your auction at the same time you will want it finished. as most people are online at home in the evenings starting the listings ast roughlt 8 or 9pm (your timezone) will be necissary.
if you want any other help, ill be happy to lend it

yeah i just want to echo another point that zippoz said.. youll get tons of emails and phone calls from potential buyers asking questions about the vehicles. make sure to be willing to spend that time.
i know i usually only list 4 items per week and i still spend about an hour a day on ebay.. checking up and repsonding to customers

trade a car in on a new one, the remaining payments are tacked onto the end of your new loan, they dont lose money, selling a little under the NADA or Kelly BB price will make it a hard sell, not many people will even come to look at it which is how the sale will probably take place

yeah i mean.. im not sure exactly it is that he does.. but for some reason i dont think that ebay could be that great of a market for vehicle sales.. just because usually people only buy for "bargains" on ebay. not many people are going to bid up to a price that a dealership would like.
just my opinion

ok, for something like this image will mean a LOT. I'd either commission a photographer to take some photos or acquire a nice digital SLR and learn about taking good commercial photos. If the photos look at all seedy, it will make your listing look a lot less credible, esp since its a franchise .

shit... lets look at it, for a couple dollars he can potentialy bring 100 new people to his lot, each interested in one of the 10 cars KoTT lists at auction maybe half those people take an interest in other cars, if only one of the auction cars sell, it pays for all 10 auctions and a bit extra but the potential sales from 100 unique customers all asking for KoTT is pretty good, lets say just 5 of the hundred buy one, again, money in KoTTs pocket and the dealership is happy too

yeah i really didnt know how much they charged on items that were more expensive.. i thought maybe they took a small percent of the sale..
idk i guess in my personal experience, and this is what friends do.. we get on ebay looking for a bargain.. something we can drive for a bit.. fix up if needed, then turn around and sell for profit.. i dont think (maybe im wrong) many people go out looking for a dealership that has a car they are looking for.

In a Popular Mechanics article I read that Dealers could pick up cars in running condition for as little as $2-$300 (Minneapolis I think it was.

well, most of the bargains on ebay arent, I saw a beautiful Honda 2000, listed as 1 owner, low milage, never raced, adult driven and loads of other shit, I then went to the dealership and found those stupid ricer pedals still installed, butchered wiring from the amature radio install, 120k miles on the odo, and a wire under the hood throwing sparks, I had them put it on the rack and a control arm was bent and the oil pan was caved in
everything was BS, it did have great paint, probably due to extensive body work
