Spawn Bag Substrate Questions
    #5951463 - 08/10/06 06:15 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Thinking of doing spawn bags w/ 1:1 WBS to Tenn Stud w/ Verm added.

1. Any prep to the WBS before mixing with poo?
2. Bags are 21 x 8.25 x 4.75 inches, and will be filling them up with ~1 Gal of substarate per bag, How long would I need to PC a bag for?

Thanks.

i have tried your idea, before I found wronguys recipe.
i did 3 bags.
WBS/Hpoo
3/1
3/2
1/1

the 1/1 was the only one that colonized completely. the poo was hydrated and the wbs was soaked by foomans soak tek

Its important to understand the role of LC in this method. Wronguys recipe suggests 140ccs. the 3 bags i did were only injected with 70cc of LC. 3:2 and even 3:1 ratios may have worked if i would have upped the amount of LC.

this will not work with spores.

if you want to do it, try wronguyws recipe and then adjust it once you get comfortable.. i just did 4 bags that used Rye, not WBS, and replaced some poo with coir. all in good fun.
