Is Vancouver worth the trip??

I'm thinking about FINALLY taking a trip up north. As my job demands that I obey the laws of my city state and nation, I will also be looking to obey vancouvers laws. It's about a 12 hour trip each way, and I was wondering if ya'll think it would be a good place to take a 5 day sabbatical, or if it would be more of a pain in the ass. Are the shops still open? What's the mood like? Americans hated up there?? ect... Thanks guys

Fuck yes.
Though we may jerk around and say Americans are a bunch of dicks, we're nice to everyone. No reason to be a dick unless someone's acting like one first, and even then it's just childish.
I think there may be a shop or two open, but it's chill to visit nonetheless. Extreeemely chill.

A BC locale was my other choice for a vacation next year.
Anywhere up there that offers good fishing plus a kickin' party scene?

Hmm... are you referring to the Amsterdam Cafe? Yes. Going down the pot block will be a neat experience, make sure to check out the head shops, you can get some nice deals.

All the head shops and cafes are open for business. We also have a ton of fishing out here, I couldn't say where the best place is to go but there's a whole bunch of lakes and usually people camping/parties nearby. Up around "100 Mile House" might be a good place to check out for that.

Thanks for the response guys. I just didn't want to get up there and run into being treated as an "outsider" or something along those lines. I'm a little older now than when I nearly went 5 years ago and would like to meet some like minded folks as where I live is pretty much the Suadi Arabia of progressive thought here in the US. Any reccommendations on where to stay, places to visit ect?? Thanks again.

Fuck yes it's definitely worth the trip. I went there for 10 days about two weeks ago with a friend and it was the best vacation I've ever taken. Everywhere you go there is a beautiful view of the mountains and usually the ocean, there are tons of beaches to visit (especially the nude beach where naked women walk around selling beer, pot and shrooms). Vancouver is a very friendly place I found, mostly asians and whites - seems to be a good mix

Dang, SELLING it on the beach?? I have to imagine it's good stuff too. As far as camping goes, I'm going to take my Phantom up their and finish up my first 10-12 songs. I thought a change of scenery, being alone, and a different "state of mind" that I haven't had in a year and a half might help the creative process. I've always thought about moving to Canada, I wonder what their standards are to move there?? HMMMMMMM......

Do it, man. Canada's wicked. I love this country.
Everyone slings on the beach. There's a little lake by my house with a shitty campground, but it attracts a lot of people and it's sweet. My little brother and all his friends sling gram bags and 1/8ths to all the campers. You won't have a problem finding weed man, lol.
Just walk around the block or to a place with nice scenery and keep your nose alert. Chances are that you'll find some generous young adults who would have no problem smoking with you.
Any time my friends and I meet a foreigner, it's basically a sin NOT to smoke them up. If you run into us and we have crunk, you will not leave our crew unless you're very, very stoned and having a good time. Met people from France, Italy, Japan, North Korea, Brazil, South America, Egypt, everyone man lol. They probably all go home and tell stories of all the crazy, stereotypically nice Canadians that blazed them up.
