Hi guys, ive just experienced my first flush from BRF/vermiculite pf tek cakes which i cased, here is a picture of the first flush of my best case -
The casing has shrunk however, what should i do to combat this, do i need to add more casing around the sides.. do i need to spray the casing.. what do i need to do!?
Last question- im going to dry them with a fan, do i just put them on tissue under a fan.. what do you suggest?
Thankyou very much, without you all i wouldnt have the fruits necessary for my psychedelic exploration.

Nice first grow dude. 5 for you First add some more sterile casing material around the sides and the holes where you picked the shrooms. Then give them a little misting, don't flood them.
second drying them with a food drier is best. gets them nice and crunchy. but if you don't have one spread the shrooms out as much as you can on newspaper and point a fan at them(a warm room would be good)
What strain are they?

thanks man, yeah im really proud of them! they are B+ strain. im thinking if im able to get a flush as good as that id like to move onto a bigger method but maybe its just beginners luck.
is it okay if i put the shrooms on a mesh tray with the fan pointing up at them so the air is fanned up through them.

MMM, B+, You tried them yet? Make sure you take some prints from one of the flushes.
Yea that would work. You could stack trays if you want. You just want good air flow around them so they don't start to rot. Same principal as a food drier, stacked mesh trays. Except the drier has a heating element.

P.S. About your foil trays, I have seen other posts where mycelium eats the aluminum

I can't find this foil... it just disappeared
Who knows what the mycelium is doing with that but I imagine it's not good. I use all plastic.

1) Take more pictures for us please. 2) How many cakes in that casing? 3) Weigh anything yet? Wet/Dry?

So you don't have to take the casing out and dunk it? I always thought that was a good way to saturate the casing? ...
Everytime I just misted, I never got a second flush.
