You can eat what you like, drink what you like. And still climb into you're 26 inch waist trousers and zip them closed. When you reach that age, 24, 25, your muscles give up and wave a little white flag And without any warning at all you're suddenly a Fat Basterd. Big Fat Bastered.
- Carter USM
i just finished watching this old documentary, a sort of jurnal in a few parts... this fourth part was from the years 82-83 (i was born in january 82) it covers some of the first labanon war... it's basically this archaic sounding guy talking about his family and the state of affairs in the country, he sounds just like me! bewildered and amazed at the uselessness of it all he talks about the media saying "i can only hear it in black and white, politicians talking peace and making war!" he shoots people arguing on the street, clearly it makes no diffrance... he finished with a question "what for?"
it's strange looking at something as old as i am... i used to think the world changed as i grew up (it did) but it is more i that changed rather then the world! all the changes made this world a little diffrent but still basically its just the same as it was 24 years ago or 240 years ago

It's true man, people evolve very slowly. The only things that change are the things we make.
Even when people hunted mammoth with great big spears they weren't thick, they thought like we do they just didn't have the same resources. So we've come along way, and got no where at all. It's not such a bad thing

Ah, The loop of history. There is no forwards, there is no backwards, only cycles of interweaving infinity.
Watching it happen, Doomed to repeat, Wondering Why There are limited ides / events / places. Like a washed up writer using the same plot in different forms over and over.( WHO'S WRITING THIS SHIT )
INSANITY RANT OVER

I remember sorta realizing this with OMR when we saw 2001. OMR kept saying "Things are no different from the time we were pigs and monkey's to now."
I guess as humans it's just our job to be the change.

what do you mean "our job be the change"? the way i see it right now is that life is what i make it to be and yet it's ONLY that for me... life can be diffrent for someone alse but basically what ever we do, we're still just animals procriating and surviving all the rest of the feelings/preseptions are useless layers which make no diffrance in the end.
i don't have a job unfortunatly i don't think i have one as a human either... i have my body to look after, to survive long enough and be as fruitfull as possible and that's that! i don't have to take care of anyone alse apart from my self some day when i'll have a family i'll have to take care of my own bloodline but that's not gonna change anything at all!
p.s you guys were on acid watching that movie right?

(yes we were on acid)
What i mean by "be the change" is instead of trying to change the world from the outside, changing other people and what not, we should BE the change we want to see happen. does that make sense?
ANd i dunno i think for me there are two parts of life and i gues smy responsibilities in it. one is to watch out for myself, take care of myself and what not. but i can't help but feel like there is somethign i should be putting out into the world. Nothing apart from being respectful and loving to those around me. To be accepting and curious about the world and others.. take from it the positive and negative and put into it as much positive as i can. I mean after all we are people PART of something, PART of the world, PART of society. and while there is certainly an obligation we have to ourselves and that coming first i can't help but feel like there is a light that should be spread around to others as well... I dunno if any of this makes sense... it's kinda hard to put into words.
