Colorado's new drug policy....
    #5949013 - 08/09/06 10:20 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

The new ballot might win on personal possession of MJ(marijuana for you lame dickheads). If it passes it means legalization of up to an ounce of the magical shit for personal use...

Sounds sweet! fuck the Utah drug laws...I might eventually move there!! any place that is less strict is better off, and Colorado is close to where I live.

And Colorado will still be in the United States of America.

And by order of the Supreme Court, Federal Law supersedes State Law.

Therefore, you will still be arrested. You'll just get a federal charge instead of a local one, which almost invariably carries a harsher sentence.

Well I never deemed Colorado a good place to live until this was placed on the ballot. Never had a reason to vote until now. The current pols say this will undoubtedly pass...

I wish the federal government luck when trying to place a federal charge on a person carrying an eighth.  The amount of time and money required to charge people with a federal crime....  not possible.

Yea its much harder for the federal government to go after all the small time users in colorado. We haven't heard of an increase of these sort of arrrests in Denver. So I doubt they will increase if this passes

Yet so many medical marijauna card holders are never arrested thanks to the state laws. Though federal law is the ruler of laws, the change of state laws is one step closer to the changing of federal laws, and also increases tolerance.

Good things the feds don't patrol streets or break up parties .  Sure, they'll bust you if you are manufacturing large quantities but they aren't going to waste time and effort on every Tom, Dick, and (mary)Jane with a zip or less.

You guys are getting ahead of yourselves.... the issue hasn't even qualified for the ballot yet.... they still have to verify all the signatures and all that jazz
But they did collect 139,000 and only needed 62,000 so hopefully at least some legit potheads signed up and didn't do it multiple times...

the whole thing about that...it's rather ridiculous. if they're saying "it's OK if you have a little bit," where do they think you're getting it from? you're either growing it or buying it from someone who grows etc.
so it's ok for you to have a little bit, and it's ok for you to buy it from guys who have a lot, but it's not ok for them to have more than an ounce?
they really just need to do an all or nothing type thing, because at this rate it'll have to happen eventually. they're just doing this a really slow and assbackwards way.

It will be legal to posses up to an ounce.  At the STATE level.  Growing and distribution and smoking it in public will still be illegal.  But still though....

I'll be voting for it too, like I did for the county one.

Its better that they take it at a slow pace, then no pace at all.
Each step takes us closer to ........... :sun:
