Ok, so this casing was made a week or so behind the others.
I made it in the same fasion, only the casing layer was a lot thicker... about 5/8"
It took nearly two weeks before pinning, and I attribute this to two things. 1) It was HOT, and the FC was at 80*-84 some days
2) Somewhere along the line, my timer got bumper down to 6 hrs of light from 12
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It finally started pinning and the fruits are quite different from the prior casings.
Prior
 latter

THEN, the myc spots all turned blue!

NO LYSOL or equivelent was used anywhere near the grow ever. I used an H202/water spray at about a 3% ratio... SO, my questions are as follows-
1) Do you think the casing layer is the main reason for the change in fruit appearance?
2) Why the blue myc?(it's not green like the spots that were contamed on my prior casing either)
3) Do these appear to be mutants, or just strange growth possibly due to the thicker casing layer?

I dont know the answers to your questions but I do know I would be scared to eat those big ones after seeing the shape of the myclium in the casing, that has to be so sort of contam....
But I could be wrong, I think I threw out 12 jars thinking I had black mold and in the end I think the jars somehow got water in them and made the dry layer of vermi run down the sides

It's not the mean green. It's the same color blue that comes from bruising.

did you q-tip test it? (rub a qtip on it, if you see any blue-green on the q-tip, its toast.) looks like contam to me.
the white doesnt look like healthy mycelium, and many molds are white until they sporulate, and the spores are colored. so its easy to think you have mycelium when its really a mold, and it would explain the color change. trich isn't the only mold out there that's green, there's many, and they vary in shades.
if you pass the qtip test and it is bruising, it means your casing is dehydrated, which is normal to an extent after pumping out a few bigguns... but you may have had moisture problems from the get-go.

Man, I'm gonna be honest...I don't know what that is.
http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/06-32/516366460-PE_2.jpg
The top left corner does not look right/good at all. I would vote mold, but something tells me that isn't right.
You say it was exposed to the high(er) temps. It could be that it dried out (which the parts not covered by the myc looks dry) and began to bruise as it pinned.
But I dunno, it still looks like mold to me.
I once had a case of penicillium that was the blue color you're seeing and it didn't appear until the second flush. Look into that, and wait for RR to chime in

Well, I rubbed the Q-tip all over the spots and not a single thing showed up on it....
Again, the spots are very blue, just like bruising.
Now that Creamcorn mentioned that it could be dried out, I am thinking thats the case. The casing is a bit dry, and had massive FAE while fruiting, along with those warm temps. Also, those few fatties weighed over 200 grams wet.
It would be nice to get some more input, thanks!

if you touched the mycelium then i would say bruising, which can happen very quickly.
but judging by the pictures i think its penicillium (sp?). i've had it before but it was the inside of the substrate - not the mycelium itself.
post this thread in the contam forum and see if they can help.
