Anything to do down there besides dodge bullets and smoke rocks? I'm going there this friday for Tom Waits, might get there early and chill out downtown.

I don't usually go around looking for drugs in the US, but I'm rarely dry in Canada for more than a day or two.

Check out Greek Town for some good food!
If you like pizza, a great place for Chicago-style deep dish pizza is called "Pizzapopolous" I think!

The casinos are a good time - There are three, but Greektown and MGM are the only ones worth your time. There are about a thousand homeless people in the area though, so walk fast and secure your cash.
