do they have gills running down the sides or veins? I can't tell...

how do they smell/taste? is it fiborous/chewy?

did you wash that basket of them off? you don't really want to do that... they to use a paintbrush when in the field to wipe off all the dirt and shit... then if only absolutely necessary rinse with as little water as possible.. i.e. a damp cloth... those bastards will absorb a ton of extra water and then cook up slimy...

Veins not gills,smell is very faint mushroomy and the taste is similar to Shiitake but not as woodsy.I did wash them but now i know.Thanx for the reply

Nice finds. Those look like chants. Some cibarius, and some of the smooth chants as kielbasa said.

The ones in your second post look like cibarius to me.  The smooths that I see are pretty much perfectly smooth (or so I thought :shrug: ).
