Just curious about keeping jars in total darkness... Does this mean keep them in total darkness 24/7 or can i peep them every once in a while?

Don't make the mistake alot make their first time, once you have your temps set to about 80 or so, put the jars in your inncubation chamber, and don't check them but every week or two

less chance of contam

peeping in won't hurt it at all

I checked mine every 3 days they all colonized fine zero contams, gave zero light, you only need light if your gona invitro and then take the cakes out in place in terranium

My elves colonize jars in light 24/7. Very rarely does one pin invitro before the jar is fully colonized and ready to be birthed.

Another myth laid to rest. The more time I spend here, the less I seem to know.

I don't really know anyone who grows mushrooms. I just come here for fun.
