    #5944946 - 08/08/06 07:44 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

These have been growing a while....

I'm not looking for actives, they were just some cool mushrooms and was just curious what was growing in my front yard...

The one got kicked over or something, found it laying by itself today.

which grew into:

and about a foot away...

Are these more reshi? Man these things are popping up everwhere. Ganoderma lucidum?

BTW dont use this as ID, just a hunch. Hopefully you can brew this thing up!

Well, there's a pine tree on top of a short hill just a few feet away...so, yeah, I guess.

Reishi was my first thought when i saw the stem color...but looking it up they seem to only grew off of wood so I thought it must be something else entirely.

I've also seen several reishi growing from lawns or beds with pine straw. But I suspect there are buried dead roots there. Nice pics.
