I have too many to name, and it changes for me everytime i hear a new one, but the live version of Born Under Punches (Heat Goes On) off the second disc of "the name of this band is talking heads" is soo good i can hardly contain myself at work. I want to just jump out of my seat and turn this place into a ragin dance party and shove acid in everyones mouth!
What's your favorite Talking Heads song?

That's a hard question to answer, but I would have to say that Psycho Killer is my favorite.

I love the Talking Heads live DVD. The one where the lead singer wears that outrageously large suit and does that wierd dance. Talking heads were so wierd, haha.

That live version is def. my fave from the live discs...but This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) takes the cake!

This is hard! Either heaven, born under punches (the heat goes on), or listening wind. On a different day it could be three different songs though.

Listening Wind. I remember someone posting it in a thread a while back. It's the only one that I've heard, actually.

Sure is. I remember a video of theirs on MTV when I was little. It was pretty popular but I can't remember what the name of it was. Can you recommend some songs or albums for me? I don't really pay attention to lyrics all that much, I listen to the voice as another instrument most of the time without listening to the story. Please keep that in mind

well well well dank man, you're in for a treat cause Talking Heads are kinda the best of both worlds... David byrne uses his voice as an insturment and his lyrics... his lyrics changed my life. still does. I guess my favorite albums are Remain in the LIght or More songs about Buildings and Food. the Stop Making Sense DVD really made me fall in love with the Talking Heads.

The Great Curve, track 3 from the album Remain in Light. There is so much going on with that song, I can enjoy a different rhythm track everytime I listen.
I have a strong place in my heart for that entire album, as the first time I was really introduced to the talking heads was coming down off some killer doses and a friend played the whole album for me.

I loved Talking Heads before I ever partied, in fact I never got back into them until just within the last few years, after I listened to thier music on drugs. Oh wait, I like a many of thier songs, they have a trippy sound to them.

I don't really have a fav but ever since I saw Bryne at bonnaroo '04 sing psycho killer I haven't been able to hear it without a load of very happy nostalgia and flashbacks. So if I had to choose that would be it even though it feels like a cop out.
