If 9/11 didnt happen would we be in any of a different situation?

Most likely. It took an event like 9/11 for Bush to get the unquestioning support he needed to implement the neoconservative imperialistic agenda. I still don't believe bush is anything more than a puppet. His daddy and their friends are pulling the strings. Just stop and think for one moment...what would bush's life amounted to without his daddy?
They sure have fucked things up though, sad to think what we are in for in the near future.

Bush is a figurehead of corporate interests and any other influence who has money to back. Anyone can obviously see that Bush is a corporate shill who backs anything from lesser sulfur dioxide emissions to infrastrucutre acquisitions from foreign investors, logging of national forests, Pharmacuetical lobbying, Tax cuts on capital dividends and of course the Military Industrial Complex.
Bush has done nothing to help the citizens in this country, hes made it (itleast for me) harder to start a small business in this country(You practically need to be a lawyer these days)It costs the Bush admin millions of dollars a year just to classify all the underdoings he does.
At one time i was a conservative republican but it quickly changed when McCain lost the primary over a candidate who smears every opponent hes ran against.

Like it or not, every damn candidate that ever runs on behalf of the two major parties is someone who owes a lot of people a lot of favors, and is a puppet for life. You don't get to run as a major party candidate without proving to the party that you'll obey them.

Yeah, American democracy is and has been dead for quite sometime.
Though we have 4 somewhat large parties here in Canada(even though one is a provincial separatist party) I don't think we are doing much better with our government.

Bush is a puppet of the American people. Get over it. You can fantasize all you want about the 2000 elections being a massive conspiracy perpetrated by the Bushuminati, but that doesn't make it real. You are just using them as a scapegoat for decisions that went through the democratic-republic process and were essentially approved by a majority of your fellow American citizens.

Correction, representatives in the government were for the war, because of the information they were given directly from the big W and his cabinet. Sure, you can say that they too were given misinformation, but I think you'd be playing the fool to say so.
I'll take you back to september 12th, 2001, only 24 hours after the tradjedy.
Spotting Richard A. Clarke, his counterterrorism coordinator, Bush pulled him and a small group of aides into the dark paneled room.

Now tell me again, was it really the American people that should take the blame for this war? Were they the ones on september 12th vigorously looking for ways to blame Saddam? Did they go on to alter intelligence to eventually justify cause for a causeless war, that now is not supported by the majority?
I don't know where along the way it got into your head that Bush won the popular vote in his original election, but based on actual facts, Bush won on a technicallity, caused by the much outdated system, the electoral college. The truth remains: MORE PEOPLE VOTED FOR GORE. Yes, Gore lost, but don't shove that "Bush represents more Americans" when that was a downright lie even 6 years ago. I don't know how to explain this any more clearly.
Let's check the old history book. Ahhh here it is. The exact number is 543,816 more Americans voted for Gore than Bush. Please, go to the library (judging by your political knowledge I assume you don't own any books) and look it up for yourself.
