Datura metel is from India

Extremely toxic, can be deadly.
If you want an easy-to-find-high (which it would seem is true), I won't jump to any conclusions about *why*, but go with something safer like morning glory. Make sure you read up on them, and wash your seeds well if you get them from a local source.

quite deadly if treated carelessly. quite disasterous even if taken lightly. Quite trecherous if taken seriously. quite disapointing if taken for "fun" Quite powerful in any take the danger of datura is the person who takes it. To himself, and to evrything around him. both of which, during the experience, he would likely be largely (if not completely) unaware.
that said, im not saying don't try it. Im saying weigh in with the value of the things you are responible for against the things you think you can obtain by throwing them all away in memory and substance. THEN enter the experience knowing full well you could lose it all. Children, friends, possesions, freedom, life. Datura is a collector of these things, a bewitcher of memory and substance, Confusing her victims with false realities, draining them of vitality and sapping their memory.
In the end you are shriveled up, exhausted, and half blind. oblivious to what has transpired with a bizzare spore of damage in your wake. Broken items, oddly placed things, frightened loved ones, And often times, Hospital fees and legal baggage.
The effects of datura are first and formost discomfort, dryness, tachycardia, and mydriassis.
the side effects of a taxing ammount include hallucinations, loss of memory, and delerium.
The initial effects are unbearable by this point, if you are present enough of mind to experience the "TRIP" then you are being exposed to an UNBEARABLE ill feeling of dry mouth, blindness, heat, and urges to pee that are insatiable.
Its a fine line between awake and totally delerious. You would be fading in and out of reality, not knowing the difference.
Immaging having to exist that way. and not really being able to enjoy it because you dont even know its happening.
thats what its like.

I too am not saying don't try it.
However, I will say that when you find out about something that excites you, you might be inclined to jump in, in an unsafe way. Best to learn all you can, and wait a while to see how you feel about something this serious.
But I see now that you're just hungry for knowledge. Good to hear! My reaction was simply the result of many people over the years here getting excited at the idea of an easy-to-get or OTC high that is very powerful, and they decide instantly that it is something they must get and do.
But learning is great. However, unlike the mushrooms I'd say not to get any friends involved with this one. They could get hurt, and you could get in some trouble for introducing it to them (and as a result, the mushroom growing could come out into the open). If someone approaches you with the interest of learning though, you can be prepared this way.
