OK i am used to waiting for poo to get cold enough to add spawn to it i usually wait about 24 hours. now i am kinda in a rush since i have 9 quarts of spawn at 110% cant i just put the pasteurized poo in a tub of cold water in a bath tub to let it cool down quicker ? then just squeeze out the excess water in it ? oh i am using the pillow case method of pasteurizing

put it in a tub and set it in the fridge, then after a couple hours, open bag, squeeze, and spawn.

Spawn, and substrate temperature should be the same. At room temperature. A big difference might caused shock.

then put the spawn in the fridge until the poo is cool.
sticking it in a tub of water is probably going to encourage bacterial growth to higher levels than before you pasteurized.
do you really want to half ass your way through 9 quarts of spawn and 70 lbs of poo?

huh didn't think of that lol so what would be the preffered way of cooling it then? after pasteurization put in the container spread it out and let cool 5-10 hours before putting spawn in it ?
