Multispore Genetics

I was just wondering if you inoculate your substrate with a multispore source would every single fruit have different genetics or just clusters? Or would the whole mycelium grow up genetically same fruits?

Each germinated spore has its own genes. They combine with other mycelium in the earth (aka other inoculation spots in jar) and exchange data, I'm not sure what this determines, I just know that you need two mycelium spots to meet in order to fruit. So each cake should have different genes, but a single casing will combine and change genes.

Were the casings more potent or the cakes?

most likely individuals will have different genetics, and possible that some tightly packed clusters are the same... there's definitely a mix though and they're certainly not ALL the same. there's also likely several substrains of mycelium that weren't even capable of fruiting that are growing side by side with the ones that did fruit as well. this is why starting with an isolate (versus multispore) results in more consistent fruits and better efficiency.
