They look like coprinus comatus but I'm not sure, usually this species appear more in autumn.

I agree with Coprinus, but not C. comatus. Those look more like C. picaceus to me, a poisonous species.

Happy mushrooming!

Comatus look quite a bit longer and show "shaggyness", also when they get old the caps goes kinda ragged. Here's a good page on them... http://www.mushroomexpert.com/coprinus_comatus.html

Next time have a hunt for these ^^^ they are probably found in the same type habitat but are supposed to be a tasty edible.

Aaaaaalrighty, I don't think that this mushroom displayed above is either Coprinus comatus, nor Coprinus picaceus. I was about to agree with the C. picaceus ID, but then I remembered another mushroom which seemed more plausible...

What about Coprinus quadrifidus (aka Coprinus variegatus)??

I think the evident scaling of the mushroom above is more concurrent with that of C. quadrifidus, than of C. picaceus.
What do you say?

C. picaceus

C. quadrifidus

Very good. Yes, I agree that they look quite a bit closer to C. quadrifidus than C. picaceus.

Happy mushrooming!
