Anybody else feel the same way? Sure it has lots of nifty conveniences and seems to benefit our survival but it also seems (to me) to degrade our lives. We aren't really supposed to sit in front of monitors most of the time ya' know?

What are we "supposed" to do? I for one choose to sit in front of a monitor most of the time. Sounds to me like you need to go out and enjoy nature for a while, It does wonders for the soul.

Now that we have the internet its like being tapped into a worldly brain, i mean its kinda like living in a big city and you hear and see alot of strange stuff that country folk wouldn't normally see, but i live in a small city and i learn so much unusuall stuff about life thats going on around this world its amazing, if i didn't have the internet to look shit up i would be pissed, i mean i get on here and look up odd shit that you would never have had access to without the plethora of knowledge known as the world wide web, everything from surf cams in costa rica, to the rainbow family meeting in florida, i search for unusual music i would have never heard from people around here, and i hear shit from you guys that is crazy, its amazing what we are learning on these things everyday, its evolution man

You dont have to sit in front off a monitor all of the time, dont ya know? A guy I worked with showed me his new cell phone. It has built in video games, 12 types of ringers/body vibrator wirless internet acess, screen savors and can upload it's data to a desk top pc!! - So I guess that we can all now sit in front of our cell phones instead of monitors.. yippie

Sounds to me like you need to go out and enjoy nature for a while, It does wonders for the soul. > You're right. But I'm also pissed about having to depend on the economic machine we all live under. I don't choose to work. At least not the way I have to. Awright... I'll quit whining. Thanks TrippyHippy and Jammer too.

It's more than computers. It's more than bio-tech. It's more than nuclear power. It's the philosophy behind it all. I'm confused. Please excuse me.
