I just LOVE this muscle. After you feel it start to grow in, it's almost like having wings pop out. I really, really love working the muscle and seeing it get bigger.
That is all.

I fuckin love pumping up my lats.
The first muscle that really started to show tons of growth, asides from my traps, were my lats. I loved being able to flare them out in a front lat pose and almost look like a guy (had a very girly figure) lol
I'm actually working out my back today. Can't wait to do some lat pull downs. Such a comfortable, reliable exersize for me.
It looks especially dope when you flare them out and have striations across your chest and lats. Oh baby

Yea, lat pulldowns are great. I love the feeling of really stretching and decompressing my spine

Yeah I just started working my lats with the pulldowns. Are there any other good back exercises? I'm going to be carrying a 50 pound backpack for two and a half weeks and need to make sure my back is good and strong.

Dewd, had the sickest back workout after I posted. Here's an exerpt from the Controlled Labs forum. I'm still doing a sponsored log for another 3-4 weeks.
I could hardly walk today lol
Quote:
browndustin from the Controlled Labs forum I’m at a loss for words. My workout was definitely 10/10. I couldn’t believe how good this workout was. I was so focused that I never even got stoked about working out with so much intensity. I had almost a blank expression, just kept ripping through the weights. Man, but thinking about thinking about my progress thus far feels just great. Killer workout. Here goes it…
Pre Workout Supplements:
1 scoop Anabolic Innovations Whey Protein Isolate in 500ml water 1 scoop Green MAGnitude in 500ml water 2 scoops GlycerGrow
During workout:
2 scoops GG near beginning of workout 1.5L water
Post Workout:
2 scoops AI WPI Protien + 40g Dextrose in 500ml water
**Warm ups – Conventional/Full Deadlifts – two sets of 10x135lbs. I think my legs are too long lol Deadlifts- 3 work sets - no straps 8x205lbs 8x225lbs 6x295lbs…… and my legs, they’re too long for full Deadlifts lol (PR though!)
Partial Deadlifts- 2 work sets (these puppies feel good - strapped) 6x315lbs (PR!) 2x325lbs (PR!!!!)
V-Grip Pull Downs- 3 sets 6x160lbs (PR!) 6x160lbs (PR!) 6x160lbs (PR!)
One Arm DB Rows- 3 work sets per arm, straps on last set 5x100lbs (PR!) 5x100lbs (PR!) 5x100lbs (PR!)
Cinched up my workout by doing some stretches after. Did a few wide set pull ups and held the contraction, and then stretched it out. Stretched out my hams and lower back, and also monkied around and got a good, deep lat stretch. I did more than just my work sets, but I only counted my work sets towards my log. I just had such a fat pump, it was insane. Muscles felt hard as rocks, baby. Whoot, yeah.

Those are some great poundages man, really heavy duty shit
I like lat work, I did a lat session today but I was in a huge hurry so I just mainly did the pullup machine, did 10 sets of pullups and two machines at four sets of bicep curls. Going in for a good push workout tomorrow before work, then boxing tomorrow night.

Straps suck. Try to lose them.
Pullups and chins are harder than pulldowns, but worth it, imo.

I use straps sparingly. When you can only pull around 70% of your max, it's beneficial to toggle between using them and not using them. That's why I remain unstrapped for everything asides from my max deadlifts. I only strapped on for the one arm DB rows because I had a pyschotic pump and wanted to test myself.
Thanks for the kudos. Lemme just say it's been hard sitting up and back down again lol. Yeah, I've slacked on the cardio because my schedule's been messed up, but I've been doing multiple sessions of low impact cardio. This includse walking or light jogging around the block in the morning, afternoon and at night. On "off" days, I've been doing nothing but walking and my bf % is all right. I'd say around 13% but calipers and scales are only so accurate. I wouldn't mind getting to 10% and maintaining that got a while. But I can't introduce any new supplements or major changes as per the sponsored log.
DYS, even when you're pressed for time in the gym, it feels good to squeeze in a good back workout and pump your lats to exhaustion. I love flexing when my lats are so hard and full.
I also do chins and pull ups too. Sucks though, because no matter how warmed up I get when I get past 6-8 reps I sometimes jerk my lower back a little or get cramps in my hams. I need to get more potassium or supplement with a little taurine. I do finish up with some big wideset chins, hold the contraction and release for a deep stretch though. Propels recovery through the roof.
