Does LC really cut time???

I decided to do the baby bottle LC tek about 6 days ago because I read so many times that LC will cut time in colonizing your cakes. Is this true? I have no growth yet and although I expect it.. I cant help thinking that just injecting my cakes might have been quicker. Does LC really cut time? does it make the jars grow that much faster when they are injected with live mycellium? At what point in LC has it made my growing time longer? How long does it normally take for LC to be ready? Jars?

In the big picture... yes it cuts time dramatically. Your coloniztion times should be cut in half if you are doing everything right. Once you've got a bunch of LC ready, you are made in the shade.

LC only saves time when you already have the LC ready. If you have to make the LC first, then i dont think it saves time at all.
On the other hand LC's work great for stretching a spore syringe out.
hope that helps, snakeman

yes getting the firsr jar of LC ready dose take some time. when that LC is ready not only do you knock up a few WBS or BRF jars, but you also knock up a few new LC jars. then you are set and ready go. i used LC in an 1 qt jar 8 days ago, and it should be completely ready in about two more days.

Qt's in 10 days

seriously... Making LC has probably been the best thing i have done in this hobby (BESIDES USING A PC!)
you can check out my photo gallary in my contams section. I have been through alot. Making the lc is great, but i suggest going the extra mile and make it into qt jars.
i have made babybottles, and i had a big issue with bacterial contam, as well as lipstick mold.
