hustling the online poker games

i was thinking about this the other day.
there are several online poker games, partypoker.com and so on where you can play with other real people for cash.
now i read an article about how it was possible for a group of people lets say 7 to get 7 computers and bank accounts, and run different proxy settings and all get into the same poker room.
now these people would all be working in a pool, against the other 3 people in the room, and you would definately have an upper hand on the game, i think that someone could pull in alot of cash relatively quickly with this.
however it wouldnt last forever, as im sure that the gaming site would catch on after a day or so of the same group playing in the same room... but for a single day you could definately clean up...

And the next day you change proxies and use another bank acct. Randomize 7 people with 7 accounts each so it's never the same "people" playing.
Then do it forever.

...and then, if detected, partypoker cancels payments. if you pull the money out of your bank account before they do this, you'll go negative or what you owe goes to collections.
would only be worthwhile if you had bank accounts with stolen identities, but that would take too much effort and be risky - not to mention shady.
I mean, it's not like you'd cash out Ocean Eleven style. A few hundred wouldnt be worth it (especially split 7 ways).

Zip, you have some cool ideas, but this isn't one of them. DON'T do this.
A) Poker sites can auto-detect when a group of the same people frequently sit at the same tables with high success rates.
B) To an experienced player, it's actually pretty easy to spot the kind of unrealistic play that comes from cheating. If just one of your opponents mentions it to support, you get investigated.
C) It takes at least 24 hours for your cashout request to clear in most cases. That's time they can use to investigate you. Don't think they won't notice if seven people all buy in at the same time, then cash out at the same time.
D) Even if you cash out successfully, they can reverse it if the money is still in your neteller account. And if you cash out by paper check, they can stop payment on it.
And most importantly, you'd be stealing money from other players, and that's a pretty mean thing to do.

it was just a fleeting thought, im opposed to excessive greed and straightup theft. I actually read about this concept in a magazine and they said basically the same thing that yall did, that i would get caught.
not worth it imo, but if someone took the time and effort, it could be a very profitable venture. youd need a good crew though
(no i dont want a crew)

There's been a bit of talk about poker bots too. That's the major reason I would never play online... why face down a machine? Especially a well tailored one. Besides, the mafia has been using tricks like this to launder money for some time now, and while some get detected, not all do. Still kinda wrong to steal from other players like that.
