The Shroomery becomes a Rogue Nation!

This is a dark scenario, but think well before you vote!
Suppose the Shroomer decided we had enough of the Drug War, so we might as well become a Rogue Nation.
The first thing we do is raid Gilligan's Island and Fantasy Island and drive all inhabitants into the sea to give us sovereign ground to stand on.
Next, we decide we need an army, and because we're a rogue nation the admins decide we might as well go for Weapons Of Mass Destruction. Please note that capital and no intervention from the UN etc are givens here, this is about judging combined Shroomery brainpower and skills.
Soo, given some millions, could we? I feel a poll coming on

i still think the shroomery should buy up some land.. we should get annexed from the United States (if we stayed within the borders) and form our own country!

Perhaps they want to vote on it too
The Shroomery has many threads that attract the attention of many government agencies, gives the boys at Echelon something to do on a boring sunday afternoon!

-Yes, even the complex stuff like nerve gas -We could probably acquire and grow a nasty bug, yes -We could at least build a "dirty bomb"

"Weapons Of Mass Destruction" "nerve gas" "bioweapons" "suitcase nuke" "dirty bomb" land.. annexed from the United States
Thanks OHSBrave06, the list gets richer still Its interesting to see how the majority thinks we can acquire some degree of WMD in all three categories.
As for the atomic bomb: if we can get the uranium, we're in business, some designs are basement stuff.
Ooops here we go
"Weapons Of Mass Destruction" "nerve gas" "bioweapons" "suitcase nuke" "dirty bomb" "land.. annexed from the United States" we can get the uranium, we're in business
I wonder just how many "suspect webpages" there are, discuss something controversial and you can't help but spew phrases which are highly suspect if taken out of context..

i don't see any shroomerits going to war
we might be able to pull off an LSD lab and convert some conventinal stuff to deliver the lsd to big places... it's pretty easy to contaminate large areas with this drug
if we had the funds...
i don't like where you're going with this thread though... the shroomery is more likely to become a peacefull nation!

Sure we could do all these things. But I think a nice island of primo weed growing free of charge, for all members, would be better.

yeah, although i think that with enough money a shroomery nation could easily take over an island And get all of those weapons (assuming we could get a good enogh playing card to trade with a rough nation)
i have been down for tarting my own country for a few years now, and am slowly workingn towards it

I remember once at the Oregon Country Fair gathering, someone brought some steaks, but no one was hungry for it. Someone said we should feed them to the cows. We laughed about how we could all see the headlines now:
"A strain of mad cow disease was discovered in Veneta, OR. A terrorist organization known as the Shroomery is believed to be responsible."

A rogue nation, eh? Awesome, I've always wondered what Taiwan would be like if everyone was completely twisted on drugs.
We could totally build up an arsenal up to and including fusion bombs.
I'd happily help build us some nifty Teller-Ulam devices.

To assess how hard we believe it is for an organisation (such as the one we happen to be part of) to acquire said technology.
I ofcourse do not mean we should even seriously think of getting us some WMD, but could we, as a group, do so if we wanted to? This in line of recent threads where terrorists designing biowarfare bugs are discussed.
I think we, looking at the brain power and skills only, could go all the way on all but the nuclear technologies. Even there I think a lower-kiloton device is possible, but not a hydrogen bomb, which would require a specific energy output of the primary fission device.
I'm anti-killing, anti-war, but I'm curious as to how difficult the scientifically inclined Shroomerites think these technologies are to acquire. Most, like me, are convinced it is not all that hard.

I happen to disagree strongly with the previous resonses, IMHO most people are thinking just about the technical difficulties and not enough about the human interaction needed to archieve those goals. I mean, this site is filled with stoners, and the fact that some of us might actually able to fill some of the gaps to archieve those goals doesn't mean that is possible without a lot of knowledable, skilled and responsable people, and lots of power/money, not to speak about the emotional backbone created by differences between people; one thing is talking on a site and another living together on an island.
Likewise, to archieve those kind of goals people have to be really decided to do it and a strong "leadership" must be in place.
So I voted No, I don't think so, and no
