I have Primordia! They literally sprouted their little eager heads overnight. I opened my FC today for the daily FAE & misting and to remount my Ecolux growth light in the tub lid. I looked down and saw pins!

Do I continue to mist or leave them alone and continue with FAE? I'm so nervous.
My cakes that weren't dunked/rolled are growing sooner than my dunked/rolled cakes -- I thought it would be the other way around. Either way, I am ecstatic. (:

Im fairly new to this process but your substrait dosent look completely colonised its odd..
OTherwise i wouldn't worry too much about the fact that your seeing pinnin ... you might see that while there still in jars
just keep fallowing directions and make sure you looking into hydration.. not leveing too much water in the base of the container

you should read some more before you start answering questions.
Stormhalter, your cakes look very healthy. just mist the walls of the terrarium once a day and fan 1-2 times for FAE. congratulations bud.
its normal for cakes that have been dunked and rolled to take a little longer to get started, the flushes will be MUCH larger though, so its well worth it.

It's just damp perlite, no loose water.
It is fully colonized -- it's just that the mycelium attached itself to the 1/2" layer of dry Verm that's added to keep contams out -- and I scraped what I could off and left a little ontop of the cakes just for protection.
I also used a finer Verm, not medium coarse.
