So I finally got some cash and plan on buying a digital camera. So far Im lookin at: Olympus 500 Canon Rebel XT
They both seem pretty much the same, pretty competitive, but the olympus has that anti-dust supersonic wave filter vibration thingy. So Im thinkin of getting the Olympus. Any reason not to? any other similar cameras I should look at?

are these high end camera's?
I recently bought a samsung from walmart for $150... it has a 2.4" screen, 5.1 megapixels, 3x zoom... It is a slim camera too so its great for just throwing in the pocket...
but its probably not what you want for artsy shots...

um, no his are digital SLRs, much more expensive but still not "high end"
id go with the canon xt, something important is the addons and versatility of a company - canon is great for that

oh thats a nice snapper
but i'd still go for a SLR where you can manually set f-stop, shutter speed etc and change lenses
