I suspect this is OK but since this is my first grow I just want to make sure...this bulbous bit has been in the PF jar for about two weeks...just birthed it...and hoping all is well. Any thoughts?

You might want to take a clean knife and scrape the perlite from the edge of the cake. If the mycelium enters the perlite, it will draw too much moisture into the cake, as well as continue with vegetative growth which will impede fruiting.

Yeah, take your cakes and place them on the jar lids. Make sure you wrap the jar lids with tin foil. Then place the cake back into your FC with the cake on lid on the perilite.
