Thinking of making a Graphical RPG with mirc.

I did it before, I'm sure I can do it again.
I was thinking of having the storyline being about the future and OTD and the Pub, have both end up being huge corperations that control most of the world, OTD being evil and aggresive and The Pub being the good and mellow.

You would have to smoke pot to heal yourself and take take shrooms to bring your mana up, that kinda shit. Anyone have any suggestions about the storyline and features. (and be keep the posts serious)

I was also thinking of maybe buying and selling various drugs as a means to make money from city to city.

It won't be anything like world of warcraft but more like zelda 3 on snes, something like that.

I basicly use the drawpic command in various ways to show the user various things. So mirc would just take sections of one picture (tiles) and paste them in order as a map and then paste characters ontop of them. The tiles on the map would be deleted and repasted as things move around on them. Took me about a year of to get a working RPG game, it wasent too high tech but it had maps and scripts involved and I got it working multiplayer somewhat.

It's not an easy task but I know I could do it, but this time im going to to it right and plan ahead before I start making it because once you make something a certain way it gets real hard to modify it if you need to make major changes in it.

dude that sounds like a cool idea.. like id def be down to play it.. i tried to make my own game awhile ago.. i couldnt do any of the technical aspects.. but i wrote a killer storyline similar to "underworld" (if uve ever seen that movie)

Thats right on, you should post the storyline and maybe I'll use some parts of it and incorperate it into the game if you don't mind.

the storyline is almost like a book.. and not complete.. when its complete im def sending it to a developer..

its like underworld.. vamp vs. licens.. you join a race.. have your own little clan if you will.. theres a max # of people in each clan.. and then you pretty much battle to be the strongest clan.. developing higher weapons, evolotion techniques, ect, ect..

each individual player has skills, levels, ect.. which he can contribute to his overall clan.. its basic in its concept.. but has a very indepth storyline.. storyline is everything in a game (atleast to me)

ahh sounds real interesting, I agree that a storyline is everything. But its hard to have a good storyline in a mmorpg, thats what I intend this game to be really.

i like the idea of buying / selling drugs from town to town.

i used to play the shit out of drugwars on my calculater in high school (same concept)

It would only work with mirc because it would be graphical, if it were a text game yeah it would work with xchat also.

Yeah I don't think it would be plain ole good or evil, they will have names like Pub Corp. and OTD Corp., or something like that.
