The title says it all. I've been using Roadkill's awesome hpoo tek and had two trays colonizing all this week. Much to my amazement, they seem to be almost completely colonized by now, although I'd like a second opinion (and if necessary, third, fourth, fifth...) seeing as how this is the first time I've spawned to another substrate before casing.
^^ This is the first of the two, and the one I"m most unsure of. It's doing well, but only got 12oz of BRF spawn rather than the other tray which got 18 (lost a jar due to contam... stupid heat wave global warming fucking corporations ruininig the fucking earth fucking up grows for EVERYBODY. Why yes, I am an embittered environmentalist, why do you ask?)
Most importantly: The white spots speckling the straw, which could be benign, but nontheless give me the willies--haha, get it, because my... oh hell, never mind.
^^^ Unfortunately blurry, but it's the same basic deal as the other casing, only with more mycelium. To my eyes, this looks about done. But I've been wrong before, and I'd rather not fuck this one up if I could at all avoid it. Thoughts?

Those flecks could be trichoderma. It resembles that prior to turning green. Doesn't look good man. Sorry. If it does go green, put some more unpasteurized horse manure in a hole in a shade part of your garden. Mix in the trays and water well. You can put damp cardboard or straw over it to hold moisture in. They'll very likely recover if you do that and just fruit outside. RR

Assuming the worst case of an infection: Would an H2O2 solution work to nip this in the bud while the contam is still young, or would it be too late?
