I'm working on some LC (one with KARO and one with honeywater). However, I'm completely not getting the results that I'm supposed to (at least I don't think so). So I'm contemplating going ahead and doing some good ole PF cakes... I'm a total n00b and this is my first go. Some advice, please?

make two LC's at a time. That should double your chance of success. Sometimes my LC's don't take. I think I've got 3 out of 5 to take so far. Not too bad.

Sorry, I didn't put the details of the LC's here cause I'd already talked about that in other threads. The honeywater I did about 2tsp to 1/2 pint of water. Punched a hole on the edge of the lid and put polyfil in that. Sterilized the setup for about 30 minutes in a vegetable steamer. Have had it for about 8 days and all I've got is a little ball of something I assume is myc floating about and a VERY thin layer of white fuzz looking stuff on the bottom of the jar. I just started actually incubating the jar about 2 days ago and I think that could've been the problem as before I was keeping it at room temperature. As for the karo LC, I did 2 tsp of Karo to 1/2 cup water, punched a hole in the center of the lid, covered that with 2 layers of aluminum foil and sterilized it in a steamer for 45 minutes. Only inoculated that with 2cc's today, so it may work wonderfully. I'm just paranoid that it'll flop also. Anyways, I was contemplating taking 2cc's from my remaining six and making a normal PF cake so at least I'd have SOMETHING.
