outdoor grow kit from amsterdam

So I got this psilocybe cyanescens spawn bag in Amsterdam this summer. so as soon as i got home, i started. The clerk at the smart shop in adam said that mushroom would be mature in couple of weeks after you mix the spawn bag with wood chips. So the spawn mix has been in the ground now for 5 weeks and still nothing at all. So I think i made a mistake somewhere along the line. Ive been spraying the wood chips with water twice a day, i picked a nice shady spot, and we've been having great weather in central Florida. The only thing i can think of is that i used mulch instead of wood chips. I also read that no matter how long they've been in the ground, nothing will happen till September.
If anyone can give my some suggestions, comments, or correction it would be gratefully appreciated. thanks
peace

im a little confused as to why it matters if it fruits in the 40's. It has gotten up into the low 100's in the past 2 weeks in florida.

Meaning that you need a drop in temperature(60*)in order for pins to form.

Thats just part of their environment. They aren't subtropical shrooms like cubes and pan. cyans. They usually fruit in temperate zones in late fall early winter. One of their fruiting triggers is that the temps get into the forties and it's going to start snowing soon.

You'll need wood chips or at least hardwood sawdust. Perhaps they'll fruit up north by Jacksonville, but I doubt it gets cold enough in southern Florida to ever trigger pinning. Just wait and see. They fruit on the oregon coast in November. RR
