It's WORLD FIREFOX DAY - join in on the festivities

HAPPY FOXY DAY EVERYONE!!
Some of you may be wondering what the fuss is all about, allow me to explain.
Firefox is a browser. If you're wondering what a browser is, let me enlighten you:
A browser is a piece of software that is not Internet Explorer which you can use to browse the web.
On Internet Explorer I got an average of 5-30 popup windows every time I went online for a few hours, and every month or so, through no fault of my own, Internet Explorer invited a virus onto my harddrive. I also had issues with the first page of my internet automatically displaying monkey dildo pr0n or ways to get rich quick on the Internet, with not a chance in hell to change it back to the start-page I wanted to display, at least not without half an hour looking for what bug hijacked me and how to undo it. I also had issues where every other link I clicked from Google sent me directly to a place full of advertising instead of the site I wanted to visit. I began to think the Internet was strictly for the masochistic, something which befall you if you twisted the Hellraiser box the other way around.
Not anymore!
About a year ago I downloaded Firefox and decided to give it a shot. This was the single most fun-increasing thing for my Internet activities that I ever did, even more fun than upgrading my processor from 0.8 GHz to 3+GHz.
It wasn't hard at all, just an icon on my desktop, next to my Internet Explorer (IE) icon. I click it, I go online. Simple as that.
BUT!
It is FASTER that IE It allows you to CUSTOMIZE and add features you like to do with the internet, or scratch others. It allows TABBED BROWSING, meaning you can be present on several sites at once in the same window.
But what was the price to pay? In the past year:
I had ZERO virus infections caused by my browser I had maybe FIVE popups trying to sell me shit (no lie!) My start page was NEVER hijacked I only ONCE got bitten by a Google-redirector.
The only real price to pay is that some websites do not display properly and that some content doesnt work. In those cases I cut & paste the URL into IE to be taken there directly.
NEVER do I browse the web anymore using Internet Explorer. If people ask me why, the answer is preceded by a sarcastic HA IE is a headache, its a nightmare version of the Internet.
So, why not do it? Why not have a go at it?
Install FIREFOX and see if you like what it does. If you don't, just uninstall it. Simple as that. It will take you a week to get used to the different interface and a month to explore all the extra features - but only if you want to.
To those in the know and those about to get WOW-ed:
HAPPY FOXY DAY!!

I'm a proud FF user! Though it does have its mess up's from time to time, it's no where near as bad as IE.

I'll just throw this out there, since I don't know how many people use this... but I've got two extensions in particular i find EXTREMELY useful...
Session Saver & Snapback Tab
I think it was a single download, but I basically have Session Saver set up so that everytime I close my browser, it saves the current state and then when I open my browser back up the next time, I'm right where I left off... All my tabs are back up with their histories preserved... VERY USEFUL! Especially since a lot of people send me links that I don't care to bookmark, but I don't have time to check out immediately...
Snapback Tab has proved just about as useful too... Say you're browsing and have 4 tabs open... If you close a tab, you can go to tools --> snapback tab and select which tab you want to re-open... Sometimes I close the wrong tab, or after a tab is closed, I want to go back to the site, but don't want to spend the time going back through a search engine/login/etc. to get back there...

You can delete, but it doesn't go away, you just can't see it anymore.
