Hey all, just went shrom shopping at wal-mart and find almost everything I need. I bought 12 half pint jars, A aquarium heater (Tetra Brand), 10lbs of WBS (Morning Song Brand), And storage containers for incubation. Wal-mart didnt have verm. In fact I ask the lady at the garden center and she said she never heard of it...And i got some polyfil. My PC only goes up to 10psi, but if I pc for about 45-60 minutes it should be fine, so I've read. I ordered a syringe from Ralph (Mexi-Cube) and waiting on that. Anybody have these brands? I what should I do about the verm? I think i'll go to lowes tomorrow to see if they have any. Im using the WBS Tek of course, and the 50/50 for casing. Anything else I should get for the experiment besides fruitig accessories, I will get them later on. peace

take back the half-pint jars and get quarts! 12 half-pints will be a pain in the ass compared to a few quarts. go get some tyvek envelopes from the post office (for free) so you don't have to deal with polyfill filters on the jars, too.

Don't expect them to know what verm is. You're gonna have to just look around for it. I'm starting to think that stores put stupid people out in the garden center. They're always extremely unhelpful.

yeah. we are talking walmart after all. not a phd in botany's first choice to work. most people who know what they're talking about, have better jobs. (not always true! i got a friend who works the lowes garden center, she knows whats up, and hooks up the 10% + no sales tax discount!)
if you keep having poor luck finding certain supplies, locally owned garden/green house shops, hydroponics shops, mom & pop style operations... are usually run and owned by people who know what they're dealing with, often times are very helpful, and obviously have their own suppliers/wholesalers and will often times place special orders for you should you request something they don't carry. you should support your local economy when possible over walmart anyway!

Lol, I was trying to say that garden center employees are dumber than inside employees. They seem to have no idea what they're doing or what they're supposed to be selling.
