White spruces. I do have 8000 White Pines, 70 000 White Spruces, 45 000 Black Spruces in plantations (age between 8 to 20 years). Red Oak, White and Yellow Birches, Grey and Black Ashes, Automn Cherrie Trees, Sugar and Red Maples, Lime tree, Poplar on about 565 acres or about 230 hectares of wood land.

I'm today extremely excited.
Remember in the third petri dish of one of the lasts posts, I've subculture a few pieces of what it looks to me a probability of a chanterelle mycelium.
Now look down this photo.

The white is cobweb after beeing touched. After have seeing an orange tone in the background of the mycelium, I've decided to open one of the petri dishes and peel the mycelium on the agar. Big Big Surprise. The mycelium peel like a sticky paper on a wax paper. Another mycelium is under the top one (cob web) The what I think is the chanterelle mycelium. A mycelium like a carpet and a little bit sticky with the good smell of the unique chanterelle. The mycelium looks really healthy and strong. I will have a new approach and maybe accept that they can live together.
That opens to me opportunities to make the experiences I'm looking for.

WOOOW! (like Raga would say here..)
just in ten days!
if it smells like a chanterelle, looks like a chanterelle then it probably is a chanterelle..
>accept that they can live together all or just two of the them? do they need each other? some yeasts may help spores to germinate, maybe they help here too..

Here's another plate with it appears to have only 2 myceliums. That thin white stuff on top and that thick orange mycelium in the middle sandwiched between the agar and the cob web (?)
The orange part of the other plate is the myceliums upside down I've peeled on the brown agar. Still having that wax contam. But on the last plate there is only 2 myceliums.

The chanterelle mycelium in a glass of water.

The liquid spawn.
 In Bottles.

Innoculating the rootless

Got to be better on the inoculation technique and how to clean the rootless without damaging them.

Nice, thanks for sharing this. The orange mycelium on agar is a suprise.
The culture I grew would have a little orange in it, very faint, only when it had been on grain for several months.
