Oyster Shell Water ??
    #5926216 - 08/02/06 05:47 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

I got an idea while trying to turn my crushed oyster shell into oyster flour (which is not worth the effot IMO). What if I soaked the shell in water. Then take that soupy grey juice and use it in my mix instead of regular water. Would that help with the PH as well as using hydrate lime?

I don't see why it would hon. The shell isn't going to put off all of it's nutrients into the water. Best off just continuing to crush the shell and then using the flour.

it'll have a very minimal effect, you'd have better luck using the chunks
